Privacy Policy

Budget Calculator helps you track income and expenses. This page explains what the app stores, where, and the choices you have. In short: you sign in with a free account, your budget is saved to your own private account so it stays in sync between the Android app and the website and is never lost with a phone, and we never sell your data or show ads.

Your account (required)

To use Budget Calculator — in the Android app or on the website — you sign in or create a free account with your email address and a password. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication and your budget data is stored in your private space in Google Cloud Firestore, both operated by Google as our service provider. The same account works in the app and on the website, and lets you sign in on a new phone and get everything back.

What is stored in your account:

• Your email address and an optional display name (used to sign you in and identify your account).
• Your budget data: income and expense entries (including ones you've moved to “Recently deleted”), categories, budget settings and app preferences.

Your password is managed by Google Firebase Authentication and is never visible to us. If you forget it, you can request a password‑reset link sent to your email. Your data is protected by your account sign‑in and by security rules that let only your signed‑in account read or write it. It is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encrypted at rest by Google Cloud.

On your device

The app also keeps a working copy of your budget on your device so it opens quickly and keeps working offline, plus a short list of automatic restore points so an accidental change can be undone. This copy is tied to your account: another account signing in on the same device never sees it. When you sign out, your budget is removed from the device (it stays safe in your account). If some changes haven't synced yet because you're offline, they are kept on the device until you sign in again, so nothing is lost.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
• The app contains no advertising SDKs and no third‑party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising.

Subscriptions

PRO subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We receive a purchase token from Google Play to confirm your subscription is active; we do not receive or store your payment card details.

Permissions

• Internet: used for account sign‑in, cloud sync, and Google Play purchases.
• Notifications (optional): only if you turn on the daily reminder.

Deleting your data

• Your account and all its data: in the app or on the website, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your sign‑in account and all of the budget data stored in your account, and removes it from the device you're using.
• From a device: Sign out removes your budget from that device; your account keeps it.
• You can also email us at the address below to request deletion of your account and data.

Data retention

Your account data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your sign‑in account and stored budget data are removed from our systems. The copy on a device is removed when you sign out, delete your account, or uninstall the app.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
